Mexico Monday!

Next stop Mexico City. Although it has taken some turns for the worse in recent years most indicators suggest that much of the violent crime is drug related  and concentrated in the boarder towns. That said M City is one of the safer places to visit in Mexico which makes it a prime location for call centers. This travel if nothing else will provide me with some great opportunities to fine tune this curriculum, and hopefully change a few lives. I'd  like to gather a few big picture nuggets on the state of  Social Media as well. I'm curious to see how well my social learning approaches will translate and I wonder how large of a stake social media plays in a city as large as Mexico.

  1. Martin, I can completely empathize. It seems as though lately the airport has become my new home and Willy Nelson's hit song "On the Road Again" is my new anthem... I too wonder if social media is governing all or just a huge majority of the decisions that are being made on the technology that is being brought front and center. Albeit necessary, to stay on pace with the ever changing world, to what end are we as a society willing to expose ourselves to the vast unknown?
Safe or not safe, that is the true question...

Changing a few lives by sharing ideas and being enriched by the cultural differences is what makes the travel worth it...

  2. Raquel, I didn't mean to give the wrong impression. You see I love my job and i'd travel forever if only my children and lawn would stop growing in my absence. I happen to believe in this case safety is slightly over rated. Call me old fashion but I think technology is always the answer. Having access to unlimited resources empowers the individual like never before. As far as exposure, I hope the transparency we are approaching will light dark corners allowing us to make sound decisions as we navigate a brighter path forward. Regarding living in airports try not arriving so darn early ;)

  3. Martin, I think you are the most forward thinking man I know, for some reason you don't seem old fashioned to me... Unlimited resources... Yes... I agree, the key to empowerment.

Thanks for the tip, I'll remember it the next flight I take... ;0)
